'Did she just ask me that?'

I was asked the other day, "What do you look for in a girl?" Now immediately you can be forgiven for thinking this is a loaded question. Take a moment to consider the pitfalls of this very loaded and highly explosive situation (moment? Continue) How do you even begin to answer a question like that? Attack the situation with the fool hardy-ness or take the time out to concoct a very tepid response commiting to absolutely no answer at all?

We are all very familiar with the generic and boring responses that are heard ringing in the ears of men and women throughout the world. If you think you can still hear them echoing inside your own ears, listen carefully and you hear the whispers of 'Someone who makes me smile', 'someone who understands me', 'good looks', 'someone who knows how to dress' and a personal favourite 'someone who is driven', there are several ideologies there but if we are to work to that spec then apparently the ideal man would be Peter Kay with Jeremy Kyle crossed with Tom Cruise breading with Gok Wan who likes to swing with Alan Sugar, sorry Sir Alan Sugar.

Where does the fun come from seeing the fear leaden our bodies and the rigidity of panic consume us?

I have no idea what i look for in a woman. I've endevered to examine several options and in frankness, enjoyed several of them! It's not about what we look for, it's about what we have. There is a reason why we want to be with you, by answering the 'what do you look for' question we are only doomed to the silence and discomfort. If I answer honestly, please do not be offended if I decide not to describe you. Equally, please do not expect wedding bells and the sound of tiny feet after 3 days of texts and a quick coffee.

I like girls. Girls like boys but when you hear that dreaded questions, best just to carry on watching the football.
